1st Annual MHMTB Frienduro

Updated: 2 days ago

Welcome!

Thanks for your involvement in the 1st Annual Frienduro! This virtual race is to add a little competition to our group. You'll have bragging rights for 1 year and a special, 1 of a kind Champion Jersey you can sport around the Colorado Trails!

Race Format, Rules and Details:

The race is to be done over the course of 4 weeks, beginning Au

gust 1st and ending August 31st. Each week will highlight one trail. You'll have that week- Monday - Sunday, to submit your best time via Strava screenshot by that Sunday at 9pm. Monday, a new trail is designated-- wash, rinse repeat.

Since August has 4.5 weeks (August 29, 30 & 31st) in it, we're giving riders the opportunity to pick one trail as a do-over. You need to resubmit your time by 9pm on August 31. I emphasize, this is a do-over of ONLY ONE OF THE 4 trails, so pick your worst time and try to better yourself on it.

The winning time will be the sum of all 4 individual best time submissions.

Rules & Details:

  • This is a voluntary virtual race. You are responsible for your safety and that of others on the trail. Use common sense, ride to your abilities and have fun. Mile High MTB is not responsible for your actions or risks that you take on a trail.

  • Open to all skill levels and ages.

  • Two categories- Mens and Womens.

  • You have 7 days to complete the trail designated for that week.

  • All submissions will be a screen shot of your Strava time.

  • All 4 trails are directional and bike only. This reduces risk to the rider or bystanders on the trail.

  • August 29, 30 and 31 are free days for you to pick 1 trail you think you can get a better time on, and resubmit that ride. ONE TRAIL ONLY.

  • All submissions must be provided to the designated Race Organizers by 9pm on the following dates:

  • August 7th

  • August 14th

  • August 21st

  • August 28th

  • Do Over Submission by 9pm on August 31st.

How you achieve the best time is up to you. You have 1 week to accomplish your best time. So, do Hard Money every day, or multiple times. How you achieve your personal best time is up to you.

Further details on where to submit your times, what the Champion Jersey will look like will be published and announced before August 1, 2022, so stay tuned.

Minimum Expectations on Group Rides: Most group rides are no-drop rides, unless otherwise posted. This means that group leaders will wait at any major trail point for those that ride slower. We all
